When you hire a plumber, you're inviting a stranger into your home to perform work that you may not understand. Working with a licensed plumber from a reputable plumbing company offers homeowners protection against shoddy workmanship, theft of home valuables, and more. Find out how the Pink Plumber can make a difference on your next plumbing call. We have developed a unique plan for training and reviewing our employees before they ever step foot into your home.
The Pink Plumber Way
At the Pink Plumber, we've developed a strategic plan for hiring only the best plumbers around. The process involves a number of factors:
- Safety: We conduct a background check before we ever hire an employee. Because our customers trust our name and brand and they invite our plumbers into their homes, the background check helps us to ensure that our employees are trustworthy. We also conduct a credit check to ensure that the employee doesn't have any red flags in his financial history. Finally, employees must also undergo drug testing and pass with flying colors. We continue sporadic, unannounced drug testing over the course of an employee's tenure with our business.
- Training: We hire only licensed plumbers to work at our company. In order to be licensed, most states in the US require plumbers to pass a rigorous state exam and have work experience with an already-licensed plumber. The apprenticeship usually lasts between two and three years in order for the apprentice to become skilled at the trade.
- Ongoing education: Our plumbers must continue their education to maintain their licensing, which means attending continuing education classes and staying up-to-date on new technologies.
- Training specific to the Pink Plumber: At our facilities, we provide on-site training for our plumbers based on a strategic plan for ensuring our employees have the tools they need to service plumbing systems. We also hold weekly training meetings with our employees to ensure effective communication and to take turns sharing knowledge.
We take pride in the high standard of work we require here at the Pink Plumber. We know that customers also value our commitment to quality workmanship. That's why we have developed strict hiring procedures, ongoing training and education requirements, as well as drug testing.
