Our first Military Makeover was on the Mahaley family home in Mooresville, North Carolina. Melissa Mahaley joined the US Marine Corps at 18 years old as a radio operator and Benjamin Mahaley enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2005 at the age of 23. In recognition of his exemplary service, Benjamin has been awarded several honors, including the USMC Good Conduct Medal and the Iraq Campaign Medal. Melissa now works as a nurse and Benjamin works as a firefighter in the Charlotte Fire Department. They are the proud parents of five beautiful children: Easton, Ryder, Lyla, Zoey, and Kira. It was our honor to help this deserving family!
As a part of their Military Makeover, our Experts first recommended the replacement of their HVAC units. Their units, one of which was 20+ years old, were replaced with state-of-the-art systems generously donated by Lennox. Our partners at Dynamic also donated electrostatic filters and UV sanitizers. These elements improve indoor air quality by killing or inactivating bacteria, viruses, and other germs that can cause disease.
To make sure the growing family has high-quality water, our team installed a Lancaster water softener and acid neutralizer donated by Ferguson Enterprises along with a Rinnai tankless water heater donated by RE Michel Company. The tankless water heater will provide endless hot water and prevent costly water leaks that other systems have issues with.
Lastly, we installed a Connected Home System generously donated by our partners at Building36. This system, which can be controlled from one centralized mobile app, works to keep their house running properly with just the touch of a button. Building36 water sensors and smart water valves will protect the Mahaley home from water damage and send alerts to their phone anytime a leaks is detected. The video doorbell, smart door lock, and outdoor cameras will offer 24/7 security for the family. Lastly, the garage door controls allow for easy of entry without clunky remotes or openers.
